Thermalito Baptist Church strives to be God-glorifying, Gospel-centered, Church-unified, and Mission-driven.
Jesus is the Way, The Truth and The Life. No one can come to the Father except through Jesus.
What we believe
- God – We exist to glorify and magnify the one true God, who is holy, sovereign, and worthy of all worship. Our highest joy is to know Him, love Him, and enjoy Him forever. (God-glorifying)
- Gospel – We proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, who lived a perfect life, died in our place, rose triumphantly, and reigns at the right hand of the Father. Through His grace, we are reconciled to God and transformed into His people. (Gospel-centered)
- Church – As the redeemed people of God, we are united in the fellowship of His Church. Rooted in the historic and biblical faith, we stand on the teachings of the Apostles, affirm the ancient creeds and confessions, and hold to the historic Baptist faith. (Church-unified)
- Mission – We are sent to make disciples, love one another, and share the gospel with our families, friends, neighbors, coworkers, city, state, nation, and world. (Mission-driven)
As a Southern Baptist Church we partner with other nearby churches in the Sierra Buttes Baptist Association. Each year our church participates with every church that is part of the California Southern Baptist Convention and nationally, the Southern Baptist Convention.
We regularly support the International Mission Board and the North American Mission Board.
